Ravens Challenge® ASEAN will be held this year, in Hua Hin, Thailand, on 10 July 2017- 21 July 2017. Ravens Challenge® ASEAN is hosted by the Royal Thai Police Unit 191 [EOD] and is being organized by Raven Group International, LLC, formerly RISC Management.
Week One:10 July-14 July 2017: Closed Commander and Interagency Task Force Training
Week Two:17 July-21 July 2017: Counter-IED Seminars; Vendor Exhibition and Product Demonstration; and Training Exercises
Ravens Challenge® ASEAN is:
- Largest Counter-IED seminar, equipment expo, and multinational training exercise in the world.
- Interactive Counter IED equipment demonstration showcased during the conference and training camp.
- Over 25 IED training lanes in 6 Sectors: (1) Urban; (2) Transportation; (3) Range; (4) Maritime; (5) Campaign; and (6) Forensics.
- Challenge Lane opportunities for vendors to run.
- Opportunity for vendor products to be integrated in the Raven Challenge® training lanes, for use by the participants during the exercise, designed to simulate global IED incidents.
New to Ravens Challenge ASEAN 2017:
- There will be a designated product demonstration area (Equipment Petting Zoo) at the training camp, providing an opportunity for participants to learn about the latest in technology and equipment.
- Three Research and Development (R&D) lanes :(1) Explosive Range; (2) Maritime; and (3) Urban/Rural/Roadside; providing an opportunity for our vendors to test out products under development.
There will be EOD units from many countries including the US, UK, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, and Singapore.
All EOD units attend the training for free.
It is in large part due to our sponsors and international relationships that we are able to provide this experience to the international participants free of charge.
